Bird feeders

Buying or building your own bird feeders is a good way to attract birds to your property. Building houses and feeders can be a fun hobby, and the birds will certainly appreciate it.

Birds may not go to your bird feeder at first. But once the bird feeder is discovered, the birds in your area will come to rely on it, especially when food nature provides for them becomes scarce.

I have added pictures along with detailed step by step instructions to build a simple wood bird feeder. I have also added sites with free bird feeder plans.

To complete your backyard sanctuary add some birdhouses and a water filled container for drinking and bathing.

Some of the common type of bird feeders include, hanging feeders, a ground or tray type feeder, and suet feeder.
